Eight Plates creates seasonal small plates and beautiful drinks in the heart of Nelson City. It specialises in relaxed fine dining for brunch, lunch, and dinner in a gorgeous heritage building at the top of Trafalgar Street.
The menu is based around eight seasonal small plates, oysters, interesting extras, and exquisite desserts, served in a fun and relaxing environment. The drinks menu offers bespoke cocktails, crafted G&Ts, draft beer, and interesting wines by the glass and bottle from around NZ and the world.
Offering dining in many beautiful spaces: upstairs with a view of the cathedral, on the outside terrace or sheltered deck (with living wall), or streetside for people-watching.
Large groups can be catered in our dedicated function space, seating up to 50 and standing up to 75. Smaller groups can be accommodated in an upstairs room, all to yourselves! Three different Set Menus for sharing are available for groups larger than 10, and canape and snack lists are provided on request.
