While we might legitimately claim to be New Zealand’s craft brewing capital, it’s easier to direct you to range of simply superb craft brewers, many of whom are household names around here - like Sprig & Fern in Richmond, McCashins and Eddyline in Stoke, The Mussel Inn in Onekaka, Hop Federation in Riwaka, Townshend in Motueka, and the Flavourtorium at The Free House Pub in Nelson City.
Our brewers are not restricted to using local hops. They are clearly in awe of the quality and variety of locally grown and exported hop varietals. As a result, they pump out beers of every kind, often with intriguing local and seasonal twists.
