Held in sunny Nelson over King's Birthday weekend (May 31st-June 2nd 2025), Ceol Aneas is New Zealand's premier Irish traditional music and set dancing festival. Now in its 25th year, classes are offered in fiddle, flute, banjo/mandolin, guitar, accordion and concertina, tin whistle, uilleann pipes, singing and afternoon workshops in set dancing. Community events include the family friendly ceili dance, singing and instrumental sessions held at central Nelson venues, and the showcase concert featuring world class musicians from Ireland, Australia and NZ.
