Te Tauihu (Top of the South) is a unique and diverse region and NMIT is its largest education and training provider, making a substantial contribution to the regional economy.

With over 100 qualifications from certificate through to master's level and we have developed specialisms in areas such as aquaculture, maritime/marine, viticulture & wine and aviation engineering, where industry links are excellent.

Since 1905, our mission has been to support the development of Te Tauihu through high-quality applied vocational and professional education and training. International collaboration since the mid-1990s has enabled us to create strong partnerships with several offshore institutions.
