Originally a fruit-shipping port, the old cool-store buildings are home to restaurants, wine bars, breweries, galleries, and gift shops. A pedestrian-only zone gives the wharf a relaxed vibe and provides ample opportunity for visitors to enjoy the flavours, scenery, and artisan offerings on offer in this special place.

During the summer months, adventurous souls jump from the wharf into the tidal current below, while all year round, people dine alfresco by the sea, indulge in some boutique shopping, or set off on the cycle trail that weaves through the village.

How to get there: There is a carpark at the end of Aranui Road in Māpua, just before you reach the wharf. If you are travelling by bike, a cycle ferry connects the wharf with Rabbit Island on Tasman’s Great Taste Trail.
