The Tinline Bay tree has earned the nickname #notthatwanakatree with the locals. It is essentially just a bizarre tree growing in an unusual place.
Located approximately 3km from the park's entrance near Mārahau, the tree stands proudly atop a granite rock, adorning the golden landscape in a picture-perfect spot.
How to get there: Tinline Bay and its iconic tree is accessible via the Abel Tasman Coast Track, an easy stroll just 45 minutes from the Harvey Road carpark.
