From Anchorage, a journey around the Torrent Bay Lagoon offers the opportunity to visit the tranquil forest pools known as Cleopatras Pools before continuing through groves of manuka and fern toward Bark Bay. Here, between Torrent and Bark Bay, you’ll experience the breathtaking scenery of Falls River. A 40-metre-long swing bridge connects walkers to the other side of the river and, at 15-20 metres high, offers elevated views over the pristine channel below.

Depending on the time of day, you may see kayakers paddling along the riverbank or a water taxi coming up to show passengers the bridge.
